the Super Street category. Richard is a graduate of Frank Hawley's NHRA Drag Racing School in Pomona, CA where he

Thomas Jones Crew Chief/Technical Advisor.

Thomas has been involved in drag racing for thirty plus years. Thomas is an accomplished driver, and engine builder. To his
credit, Thomas won multiple round victories and track championships in Division Seven of the NHRA. Thomas now heads
the engine program and technical aspects of the Jones Motorsports Chevrolet S-10 Super Gas truck. We all benefit from the
expertise Tom brings as the leader of our team. His vast knowledge in and out of the car helps the team’s ability to function
with the day to day decisions.

Both Richard and Thomas’s professional backgrounds demonstrate versatility and the attitude to succeed.  These qualities
combined with their motivation and work ethic leads them to believe that forming Jones Motorsports is not only an
exceptional opportunity for them, but for all who shares their vision.

NHRA Super Gas Racing
Super Gas features mostly full-bodied production vehicles with full fenders, hoods, grilles, tops, windshields, and functional
doors. Left-hand-steering street roadsters are allowed, but dragsters are not. A heads-up start is used, but racers may not
run quicker than the 9.90-second index.
